DTE Energy was in need of an identity for the first annual Plug-In Electric Vehicle Conference to be held in Detroit —”The Business of Plugging In.” We designed the graphic identity to represent the spirit of the city, the suburbs and the electric vehicle as the future of green transportation.

Logo for the event. A plug becomes the skyline between the city and suburbs, adding a modern aesthetic to the look.
Proposed business cards. Each back presents a different color specific to the carrier’s staff or administrative role within the conference.

A postcard announces the conference date with goals and objectives. It relies on a set of interesting shapes and colors to guide the recipient through the design.
Proposed front & back t-shirt graphics feature a flower assembled from cars and other man-made objects like the electric plug.
Environmental graphics set the tone for PEV’s visual language. This wallpaper was designed as a back splash for lectures and symposiums at the conference.
The Business of Plugging In takes place this fall— October 19th to the 21st in Detroit.
